Jefferson Elementary underwent a much needed complete kitchen renovation as the kitchen was original to the 1950s building. The existing kitchen was renovated into classrooms and restrooms and the existing cafeteria was turned into the new kitchen.
Additions to Jefferson Elementary include a new Pre-K classroom with multi-purpose space and a new parking lot with parent pickup and drop off lanes.
Additionally, incite Design Studio worked alongside Counsilman-Hunsaker aquatic specialists to design a leisure pool at Jefferson Elementary campus. The leisure pool includes a fitness lap lane, programmable area, children’s area, and water slide. The support spaces include lobby, staff offices, storage, and mechanical features. Additionally, a gymnasium, Pre-K classroom, and cafeteria were added to the on site.
The indoor leisure pool will appeal to non-competitive, non-lap swimmers and allow for a wide array of fall, winter, and spring aquatic programs for lessons and fitness. It will also provide added leisure opportunities to Cape Splash Family Aquatic Center during the summer.
