KNOB NOSTER R-VIII SCHOOL DISTRICT | LONG RANGE FACILITY PLAN

Location: Knob Noster R-VIII School District

In May 2016, Incite was assigned the role of on-call architect for the Knob Noster School District. One of the first assignments for incite design Studio was to create a Facility Master Plan with the District.

After meeting with the district administration to discuss the current state of the District, the architects and engineers did a walk through each facility and note the condition of the building, including structural condition, mechanical and electrical systems, aesthetics, site layout, traffic flow, and lighting. Lastly, iDS determined the instruction capacity of each school to determine if any additions or new facilities should be built to accommodate the student population.

Following the Facility Master Plan, iDS is continuing to work with the district to implement the plans as defined. Currently in progress is a new Football Stadium, FEMA Competition Gymnasium, and Future High School. Renovations will take place at the current High School to transition it into a future Middle School. A new Knob Noster High School will be built to accommodate 550 students. We are looking to create a designation High School for the City of Knob Noster and beyond serving the residents of the Whiteman Air Force Base as well.
