LONG RANGE FACILITY PLAN
The Lexington School District currently utilizes three educational facility’s for their nearly 1000 students. The district is working with incite Design Studio to assess the current facilities, as well as plan for future growth and renovations. The scope of work has been broken down into two phases.
In the first phase, incite Design Studio will prepare a Long Range Plan for the District. Organizing the procedure and planning the work are crucial to collecting the proper data, being efficient and thorough in facility walk-throughs, and analyzing the data to identify concerns of the staff and administration.
The second phase of the plan involves implementing the Long Range Plan. Through design and planning meetings with district administration and design personnel, space programming is defined, preliminary cost estimates are generated, and iDS is also supporting the district with the bond campaign.
iDS is also providing Lexington with the planning and design of their track and stadium renovation project. The track will include an 8 lane, 400 meter polyurethane track surface and perimeter surface drains in the turf to collect track and field drainage. The design will also include a football field located inside of the running track. The field will include native topsoil and seed/sod as needed as well as sleeves for future irrigation to be included under the track. In addition to the track and field renovations, iDS will provide overall site grading, fencing around the track, new bleachers and an ADA accessible path from gate to concessions, toilets and seating.
