Marshall Public Schools hired incite Design Studio in fall of 2022 to provide long range planning services for the district. iDS previously worked with Marshall’s Assistant Superintendent, Mr. David Reinke, at the Carrollton R-II School District when he served as Director of Facilities on their long range plan and implementation of projects. iDS was excited to once again work with Mr. Reinke, build a relationship with the Marshall community, and bring our long range planning expertise to Marshall Public Schools. With district facilities becoming dilapidated, it was crucial for the district to partner with an experienced long range planning team to improve facilities for students, staff, and administration.
Additionally, the district had not passed a bond issue in nearly forty years, and with facilities showing visible decline, Marshall Public Schools knew they needed a trusted partner to help lead a comprehensive bond campaign that would engage the community and build excitement around much-needed facility improvements. Through extensive stakeholder engagement, facility assessments, and collaborative planning sessions, iDS worked closely with the district to identify solutions that addressed both immediate and long-term needs while garnering strong community support.
As part of the bond initiative, iDS partnered with the district to design a new intermediate school building that provides modern learning environments tailored to the needs of Marshall students and staff. The project also included a variety of renovations and additions across the district focused on safety, operations, and improved functionality. Additional work included the renovation and expansion of an aging storage building to create a new district distribution center and transportation hub, as well as renovations and additions at the high school to create a new secure entry sequence that enhances campus safety and visitor management. Together, these projects represent a transformational investment in the future of Marshall Public Schools and the community it serves.
