Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Architect/Project Manager to join our Wichita team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience, strong leadership and technical abilities, and a passion for guiding projects from early concept through construction. Experience in PreK–12, higher education, or municipal work is a strong plus.
In this role, you’ll lead project teams, nurture client relationships, and oversee all phases of design and documentation while contributing to a tight-knit, growth-focused studio environment.
Lead project teams through all phases of design, including programming, conceptual design, design development, and construction documentation.
Manage project schedules, client communications, design coordination, and project delivery from start to finish.
Facilitate design charrettes and collaborative discussions to drive creative, informed solutions tailored to educational environments.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
Produce and oversee the development of high-quality construction documents.
Perform construction administration tasks such as submittal review, pay application evaluation, site visits, and change order management.
Maintain a strong understanding of building codes, educational facility requirements, and industry standards.
Contribute to a studio culture that values mentorship, versatility, and continuous learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure (licensed preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of architectural experience, with proven involvement in project leadership.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; strong technical design and coordination capabilities.
Comprehensive understanding of project delivery, building codes, and construction processes.
Excellent communication, organization, and client-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Experience in PreK–12 educational design is strongly valued.
